#2 LETTER FROM NICK
Kelsey! I am so elated to finally be writing you! It is so crazy when I actually get a second to write you a letter. They keep you focused here by giving you so very little time to write emails and very little time to write letters! Here is my Pday schedule; -6:30 Wake up -7:00 breakfast -7:30 Scrip Study/ Personal Time -9:30 Laundry/ Email -11:00 Lunch -12:00- 2:30 Personal Time/ Letters Now 21/2 hours sounds like a long time right?! Wrong! Haha when you have 10 people to write and each one is about 2 pages long, I normally get like 3 done! And please don’t feel like you aren’t making the cut so I’m not writing to you…. I’m just trying to make sure anyone who sends me a letter gets one back because I am SO grateful for them! It makes me so happy to get a letter from anyone! Honestly….. getting a letter from ANYONE makes home feel so much closer and it is so fantastic! Anyways! So much to talk about…. First off….. I am OH SO proud of you for helping your family through this hard time. Send Daniel my love and respect. He is such a good guy and I know this must be a tough time for him. Tell your mom I miss her sense of humor that always brightened my day. I bet she is working super hard getting ready for Christmas right now. And Kayla! Boy do I miss Kayla’s “You dont wanna mess with me!” attitude and her huge heart! I’m pretty sure one time we fell asleep at the apartment and she came over and gave us a blanket! She has the biggest heart! Also, it is so very wonderful to hear about Shelby! Even though I don’t know her whatsoever, she goes way up in my book if she is taking care of my darling Kelsey! Shelby….. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF HER and encourage her to cry when she needs to! She has a tendency to try to be Superwoman and that doesn’t work! She can’t do that all the time. It will kill her! I love how heavenly father answers our prayers when he knows we need it. For you Kels, you have always wanted a better girl friend who you could relate to! You totally deserve that and I am glad you are receiving the righteous desires of your heart. I have heard so many fantastic things about how well M4MM went this year! It’s absolutely amazing to me what Heavenly father is able to do with our righteous desires. I could have never fathomed that a simple Eagle Project would bless the lives of so many people and draw our community that much closer together. I feel like when we all listen to the Holy Ghost a little more, and his inspirations to do a little good here or a little good there. He will be much more inclined to send the invitatins to be used for good. I have seen that in your life so much Kelsey. You seek for the guidance of The Spirit so much to help you do good for others. Because of your desire, the spirit has great faith in you to fulifill the promptings to serve others. I am so glad to hear that you are being so incredibly diligent in reading scriptures, praying, and going to church and building your testimony on your own. So many blessings will be yours as you continue to desire these good things. Heavenly father wants to hear from us through scripture study, especially the book of mormon. I have a great desire to read the Book of mormon more than ever. It’s beautiful and its promises are real. If we pray to know it is true, we are obligated to receive an answer. We had many great and spiritual experiences this week. One f them was during a workshop about the power of the Atonement. At the end of the class the instructor asked us, “What if the Savior himself showed up to your apartment tomorrow and said he was going to work with you for a week? What type of work would he do? What would he teach you? What would you change? How would you feel when he left?” This hit me so hard because he does walk with us when we allow him to! He can teach us and mold us if we let him. We can and will have his blessed presence if we remain worthy of it. Kelsey, (anyone) how can we invite him even more into our life? This is my new goal. What about you?
